Better than the game, better than the half time show, even better than the commercials, are the movie previews during the Superbowl. Jayson was most excited with The Avengers and I have to agree that it’s quite captivating. After the game we immediately turned to our smartphones not to watch the commercials, but alas the movie trailers…over and over again.
Reason #39 why Jayson is...

The Inspiration for My Haircut →
The video that inspired my haircut. I actually like the way it turned out! I told TJ & Dewayne that “we’re famous!” and they disagree completely. It was definitely a fun experience.

Restaurant Week Strategy
Oh boy, here it comes, Restaurant Week 2012. Do I dare declare it the Best Week Ever? Even though it doesn’t start until February 17, at this point you should be familiarizing yourself with the restaurants participating, just about 250 this year, and narrowing down your choices. To do this you need to ask yourself some questions:
Do I want to stick with a restaurant I know or go with...

I'm Really a Good Person
In 2011, I worked extremely hard. I dedicated myself to my job, my boyfriend and it seems like making everyone else happy but myself. Believe me, I’m not by any means upset that my career is taking me places that I never dreamed of or that I have the most perfect and wonderful boyfriend in the world, but sometimes in the midst of it all, you forget that who you are is important to.
My...

When...
…when did we stop believing that anything is possible so long as we dream it?
…when did we start sacrificing the little things in life that really do matter?
…when do we just stop making excuses and be the people (person) we really want to be?
(now substitute the we with I)

The Ultimate Dilema!
Do I want a Barnes & Nobles Nook tablet or a Whole Foods gift card equal to the dollar amount of a nook tablet? I feel like this is the ultimate dilema. I love both.

I am the 99%
The American dream is dead. Corporate greed has won. The wealth in this country will forever stay in the same one percent circle. I am the hardest working person I know, but no matter how hard I try, there is no middle class for me to advance to.
I will forever be burdened by debt accumulated in college when I was encouraged to spend and worry about it later. What a foolish idea! Had I...

#Occupy
To start, let me say thank you to all who have found time to be a part of this movement. At the very least you are capturing people’s attention.
Next let me say that taxing the rich is not the solution to our problems. We need to reform the way big business is structured and while this inlcudes the rich, simply taxing them will not get us anywhere. Eventually they will run out of money...

XMen First Class Cover
I wanted to get the cover with Professor X on the front, but Jayson really wanted Magneto…I think it meant more to him, so he won.
So, I’ll guess I’ll just say it here, I heart James McAvoy.

The Bartender Hates You →
Stumbled upon these while playing on YouTube yesterday. I find the majority to be hilarious, but then again, I’ve bartended for many years. I think the point is that in today’s society customer service is about letting customers act like children. The responses that the bartender displays are just as childish as his customers. Anyway, there are quite a few, and if you’ve ever...

You're a Great Wizard Harry
(Heavy Sigh)
What an incredible journey it’s been. I decided to re-read Deathly Hallows for the third time before the movie’s release and I’m quite pleased with my decision. It took me less than a week to finish, and one day I pretty much picked up where the first movie ends and finished it. I took much more from this read then I had previously. I caputured all the...

Comedy
In the chaos of moving, Jayson and I have yet to get cable and thus I was not going to be able to watch Steve Carrell’s last Office epsiode. In the effort to avoid such tragedy, I borrowed a TV antenna from work and thought I would be able to change my fate. But goshdarnit, it didn’t work!
I quickly got over my terrible fate and decided to start reading Tina Fey’s new book,...

5.12 miles
This past Sunday I ran in the Shamrock Shuffle 8k. I decided to dedicate each mile to part of my life. The breakdown is as follows:
mile #1: The love Jayson and I share
mile #2: work
mile #3: my family
mile #4: my passion for changing the world
mile #5: me
I found remarkable energy within each mile. Some was frustration coming out and some was pure inspiration. My play list was a...
