A young professional's view on living the rockstar lifestyle in Chicago. I love food, my boyfriend and am committed to serving justice. I run, bike and explore and I can't wait to tell you about it.
5.12 miles
This past Sunday I ran in the Shamrock Shuffle 8k. I decided to dedicate each mile to part of my life. The breakdown is as follows: mile #1: The love Jayson and I share mile #2: work mile #3: my family mile #4: my passion for changing the world mile #5: me I found remarkable energy within each mile. Some was frustration coming out and some was pure inspiration. My play list was a combination of Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake and Carrie Underwood. Without planning it, my playlist shuffled and I listened to “Winner” during the last half mile and “Let Love In” when I crossed the finish line. It took me longer this year, but my 210 said I ran 5.12 miles, which is probably accurate as I stayed toward the mid to outside of the course. I want to run a half-marathon. I don’t know if I should do it this year or wait until next year. |
